We believe healing is medicine. Through culture, creativity, and connection, CDI Lapwai supports youth and families in reclaiming their strength, stories, and purpose. This is community-led care for our people, by our people.

Our Services

Healing Through Hip Hop

(HTHH) is a creative, culturally grounded program that supports youth through music, art, and community projects. Using songwriting, beat-making, and visual expression, participants build confidence, emotional skills, and leadership while strengthening their connection to culture and community.

Family Wraparound Program

CDI Lapwai’s Family Wraparound Program provides culturally grounded, strengths-based support for families with youth under 21. Rooted in Indigenous values and Healing Through Hip Hop and all musical genres, we partner with families to build strong support teams and help youth succeed at home, school, and in the community.

Services are family-led, trauma-informed, and offered in home, community, and virtual settings, with 24/7 crisis support.

About Us

CDI Lapwai was created in response to long-standing gaps in culturally responsive services for Native and rural communities. Too often, programs are designed without community voice, cultural understanding, or lived experience.

We built CDI Lapwai to change that.

Our organization grew from grassroots work in youth mentorship, cultural education, creative healing, and community organizing. Over time, this work evolved into a holistic model that supports individuals, families, and community leaders, centered on dignity, accountability, and collective responsibility.
